GEORGIA THOROUGHBREDS YOUTH FOOTBALL & CHEERLEADING From 2011 Handbook Parent Code of Conduct•I will help the coach aid my child by making certain my child is on time and properly equipped for all practices and games.•I will support my child’s team and the GTYF&C as they strive to give my child a positive experience. I will volunteer when I can. I understand that my child’s coach has volunteered to spend countless hours of their personal time with my child.•I will support all coaches and GTYF&C volunteers working with my child. I will remember that the game is for the youth; not the adults.•I will abide by the following rules at all times:− No pets of any kind, except service animals, are allowed inside the fence around the football field.− No weapons of any kind are allowed at any GTYF&C event.− Alcohol is not permitted at the football fields.− Smoking and other tobacco use is permitted in designated areas only.− No profane, abusive, or threatening language is permitted at any time at a GTYF&C event.− Violence or physical confrontation of any type will not be tolerated.− No roller skates, bicycles, or skate boards are allowed inside the fence around football field.•I will respect the officials and coaches in order to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience for all. I will respect their authority during games and at practices. I will never question, discuss or confront the officials or coaches after a game. If I wish to talk to the coaches I will do so in a respectful manner after or before a practice. I will never confront or disrespectfully address an official after a game.•I will refrain from coaching my child or other players during games and practices, unless I am one of the official coaches of that team.•I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, and officials at every game, practice and other youth sporting events.•I will remain in the spectator area during the contest and at practice and will cooperate with all GTYF&C volunteers.•I will remember the game is for fun; winning should never be placed ahead of the emotional and physical well being of any child. I expect my child and his coach to do the best they can, that is all I can expect.•I will cheer for my child’s team in a positive manner; refrain from being negative toward the opposing team, the officials, coaches, or GTYF&C volunteers.•I understand there will be no profanity under any circumstance before, during or after a Georgia Thoroughbred Youth Football & Cheerleading event. I understand that if I choose to use profanity during these times, I will immediately be asked to leave the facility.•I further understand that I am subject to the GXYFL rules and expected to abide by these rules as posted at gxyfll.com.I understand the above expectations of me as a parent. I also understand that it is my responsibility to make sure any guest of mine at a Georgia Thoroughbred Youth Football & Cheerleading event understands and conforms to these expectations. I further understand that any violation can result in me not being able to attend GTYF&C events, including practices or games, and may lead to my child being removed from the program. Coaches Code of Conduct1. Coaches are the front line for the GTYF&C program and are expected to conduct themselves in an upright manner, setting a great example of good sportsmanship, respect, clean conduct and competitive spirit for all participants and parents.2. Coaches are to coach all participants to the best of their ability and not focus just on their child. Failure to do so may result in being removed as a coach.3. No coach shall act in an unsportsmanlike manner (including, but not limited to taunting, intimidation and threats), at any time while at any location hosting a GXYFL, Inc. or GTYF&C, Inc. game, practice or event.4. Any coach heard using profanity at a GTF&C and GXYFL sanctioned event by a Commission Member or an Official will be immediately ejected from the game, practice or event and must be removed from the park. GTF&C Inc. and the GXYFL, Inc. reserves the right to consider further disciplinary action up to and including permanent removal from GTYF&C, Inc. and GXYFL, Inc.5. Any coach who is ejected from a game shall immediately leave the park and any sight of the playing field, and shall be suspended from the next regular season game. Said coach will not be allowed to participate in any practices during the suspension. If the same coach is removed a second time because of misconduct at a game, said coach shall be suspended from further participation in the GTYF&C, Inc and GXYFL, Inc.6. Any coach who is involved in a physical confrontation with any other person at a game, practice or other event will be suspended for one (1) calendar year.7. At the discretion of GXYFL, Inc. any coach may be removed or suspended at anytime for any behavior that does not meet the ethical standards of fair play.
OUR PURPOSE:The purpose of the GTYF&C Association shall be to implant a positive seed into the lives of the youth in our community. As a Association we plan to teach each individual participant the proper techniques, fundamentals, and rules of playing sports.Our main purpose is to develop stronger and happier children in the community by instilling the benefits of good sportsmanship, honesty, team loyalty, courage, and commitment that will enable them to grow to be good, clean, healthy, student athletes and adult citizens.OUR MISSION:Is to provide a positive impact into the lives of the youth through academic and extracurricular activities.
