The A-TEAM is the Georgia Thoroughbreds Academic Achievers Program offered to both cheerleaders and football athletes to encourage Athleticism to it’s highest extent. The Thoroughbreds A Team is in direct operation and guidelines with the GXYFL F&C Xtreme Academic Scholars Program. The XAS program recognizes A/B student athletes who work diligently at maintaing their 3.0 GPA for the duration of the Cheer and Football Season.
• The A-TEAMS objective is to prepare the mindset of Student Athletes by demonstrating how Athletics and Education work hand in hand. Through special recognition the A-TEAM intends to motivate student athletes to be achievers on the field and most importantly in the classroom.
• This program is not exclusive to anyone. Any student-athlete with the desire to succeed is welcome to join the program. Coaches will monitor students progress and needs to encourage positive results.
